Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026

This policy explains what Vouch collects and how it is used. We aim for transparency by default.

What we collect

Account data (email, username), profile you provide, content you post, and activity used to compute your scores. Device and approximate-location data for your sessions list and security.

Direct messages

DMs are not end-to-end encrypted in this version — we state this plainly. Moderators can only access a reported conversation's last 20 messages, and every such access is written to the audit log.

Your controls

You can make your account protected, choose who can message or mention you, mute and block others, and hide your online status. You can export all your data as a ZIP (within 48 hours — a GDPR commitment) and delete your account, with a 30-day reversible grace period.

Retention

Deleted content is soft-deleted for 30 days, then removed — replies remain as a greyed "deleted" placeholder to preserve thread context.
